In their 4th year the mechatronic students are exposed to controllers that can be completely digitised through advanced simulation tools. The aim is to connect the controllers to their mechanical designs, also in a digital form, thereby enabling virtual design and commissioning effectively reducing time to production. Laboratories and workshops are part of continuous academic renewal and improvement, with the view of enabling and ensuring that the mechatronics programme and students are skilled and up to speed with the latest technological advances of Industry 4.0.
